What is Ocean Bound?
Combating marine plastic pollution at the source before it enters the ocean. We've partnered with recycled resin manufacturer Envision to bring Ocean Bound PCR HDPE rigid containers to market. Ocean Bound PCR HDPE resin originates as plastic waste collected within 50 km from the shore in countries where waste collection infrastructure is lacking. The Ocean Bound program employs local workers in each country to gather the loose HDPE plastic waste that would otherwise end up in the ocean via rivers and waterways. This material is then cleaned, processed and repurposed into new, food-grade packaging.
